CAN’T believe Will Holman’s actually going to sell his Mk1 Capri V8. I still remember the issue of Practical Classics when he bought it (complete with pepperpots instead of 4 spokes if I remember correctly), however long ago that was. I remember the V8 conversion, the lads up in Lytham painting it (and a thoroughly entertaining write up it was too), and his various tweaks and changes through the years. One of the things that always set PPC apart was that the principle was based around a bunch of blokes who like playing with cars. Will’s Capri was the epitome of that. I imagine he’ll do okay with it though, if he can catch some of that reflected Escort glory. At Race Retro recently, a nice but by no means concours RS1600 was for sale at an eyewatering £65,000. Keith Hilton Well that Capri is yours for less than half that, Keith, making it something of a bargain! – WH..
